Pesuta Shipwreck Trail
For history buffs and adventure seekers, the Pesuta Shipwreck Trail is a must-do. This 12.2 km round trip trail takes you through lush forests and along the beach to the haunting remains of the Pesuta, a 264-foot-long wood-hulled steam freighter that was beached in 1928 by gale-force winds. Though much of the ship has disintegrated over time, the wreck still stands as a striking reminder of Haida Gwaii’s maritime past.
